Hong Kong-based Brilliant Circle Group (BCG) has chosen a green-tinged architect as it maps plans for a 232-acre development on the Port Moody-Anmore border on the eastern edge of the Lower Mainland.

BCG has hired Peter Busby of Perkins + Will, who is expected to bring an environmentally aware element to the Ioco Townsite lands that BCG purchased two years ago from Imperial Oil.

Busby brought the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system to Canada and founded the Canada Green Building Council, not to mention creating the Sustainable Design Initiative.

He is committed to continuing that theme at the Ioco Townsite.
