Downtown Telus building welcomed by city councilJanuary 21, 2016 10:09 pm
A two-storey Telus office building and cable and fibre optics staging area will be a welcome addition to Kelowna’s north downtown, according to city council.
“I’m excited about it because it’s another high-tech relocation to our downtown,” said Coun. Luke Stack at Monday afternoon’s council meeting.
At the same meeting, council voted in favour of the permit to allow Telus to redevelop the site at the corner of Ellis Street and Manhattan Drive.
“This could just be the start to some future plans for the site,” said Mayor Colin Basran.
“It’s not to the scale of the Interior Health headquarters or the Okanagan Centre for Innovation, but it’s a welcome addition to downtown.”
