20-storey downtown highrise approvedAugust 11, 2017 3:46 pm
Plans for a new downtown highrise have received final city approval.
Council voted unanimously Tuesday to grant variances required for the ELLA project, a 20-storey tower at the corner of Ellis Street and Lawrence Avenue, to proceed.
“This is a proud moment for us,” Jonathan Friesen, chief executive officer of Mission Group, said in a release issued by the development company.
“ELLA has it all: every home will have a view, its contemporary concrete design features innovative living spaces, a greened roof terrace, and it is located in the highly desirable Bernard district,” Friesen said.
