Despite some vocal opposition from residents of the area, Kelowna city council gave second and third reading to a massive development in the Lower Mission.

The Aqua waterfront community is proposed to include three towers ranging in height from 13 to 19 storeys with 350 residential units.

The 6.25 acre development is situated in the area around Lakeshore, Truswell and Capozzi roads just south of the Hotel Eldorado.
