A massive renovation has just begun at the former home of Interior Health.

Late last year, Interior Health moved about 800 staff members to its brand new Doyle Avenue facility, leaving its former home, at 1340 Ellis St., empty.

Now, the provincial government is throwing millions at the building as it prepares to turn it into offices for the Ministry of Children and Family Services.

Kelowna’s TKI Construction is taking on the project, which a City of Kelowna building permit says will cost $5,143,147.
